Book 1: Novice
The first book is for students to learn the fundamentals. Students will first learn the notes on the piano and how to use all their fingers and count. Then the book teaches reading by identifying notes, reading directions, and seeing skips vs steps. This approach allows for more flexibility early on so students can get to the good pieces faster. By the end of the book they'll be learning about accidentals and facing off against the first boss. Begin the adventure, go to a jungle party, have a space ship war, feed a fish, and defeat a ferocious basilisk! Book 2: Beginner
The second book is where the adventure really gets going. Students will learn about chords, eighth notes, and dynamics, and play even more fun and complicated piano music. Meet superheroes, battle a potato army, sing about cheese, and defeat a monstrous kraken!Book 3: Intermediate
In Book 3, students get to learn some real pieces! Students in this book will learn about syncopation, key signatures, and how to play more expressively. It also includes a section of scales and technique as well as worksheets. Explore a pirate cove, scope out a vampire castle, meet giant robots, and sing about pineapples!Book 4: Advanced
Book 4 is for advanced piano students to really show off what they’ve learned. Students will play challenging and fun new pieces featuring more complex syncopation and sixteenth notes. Witness a dragon war, jam with the alley ratz, fly in a beautiful airship, or stave off a zombie apocalypse!
